Western Wasps

Western Wasps has been the name of WESA’s state team since it’s incorporation in 2000. Between 2000 and 2019 the Western Wasps competed at the National Electric Wheelchair Sports (NEWS) competition and had great success.

Due to the changing landscape of Powerchair Sports nationally and worldwide, WESA has directed its focus to Powerchair Hockey and Powerchair Football specific competitions.

Whilst the Association has recently undergone a rebrand, we have retained the heritage and history of the Western Wasps name to represent the State of Western Australia across both sporting disciplines into the future.
